Getting Started With Windows 10

Click Start then Settings Then Click Privacy

Headings on the left can be browsed to see what programs are allowed to do.

In most cases think hard before you leave them on.

For each item on this side…

…select which applications can use it.

Switch them off unless they need it!

For instance, why does McAfee need to use the microphone?

If you connect using Wifi (instead of a cable) consider WiFiSense. This allows other people to connect to your Wifi without you having to tell them the password. This is a massive security hole, I would advise you to switch it off. To do so go to Settings:Wifi:Manage Wifi Settings and uncheck the option called ‘Connect to networks shared by my contacts”
